Facebook has taken steps to revoke publishers’ access to Instant Articles under specific circumstances on 9th April, 2018 such as low readership.

Don’t be surprised if you find a message “You’ve Lost Access to Instant Article” when you tried to issue an Instant Article.

See below Facebook team’s comment below link that the revocation is not an error on the Facebook bug report.

Facebook team wrote as below.

We have taken steps to revoke publishers’ access to Instant Articles under specific circumstances, detailed in this report. This action is intentional, is not a bug with our systems, and cannot be solved by one of our support engineers on your behalf.

Minimal readership may be the main reason you lost access to the Instant Articles this time

The below is the reason why we lost our access to Instant Articles.

Inactive Publisher

Issue: You’ve lost access to Instant Articles because you’ve become an inactive publisher. Instant Articles now requires publishers to publish at least one article every 90 days, though we will be actively monitoring this number and may adjust as needed.

Solution: To reapply for access to Instant Articles and all of your saved info, create at least 10 articles in your production library, and submit for review.

Low Readership

Issue: Your articles either have minimal readership or are not currently meeting the content policies (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/instant-articles/policy/) for Instant Articles.

Solution: Review the content policies carefully to ensure your content is in compliance, and make any necessary changes. To reapply for access, submit for review when you have at least 10 articles in your production library and have increased your traffic.

Non-compliance with Monetization Eligibility Standards

Issue: Your Page does not comply with our Monetization Eligibility Standards (https://www.facebook.com/facebookmedia/get-started/monetizationstandards). Please note that, in order to use Instant Articles, your Page needs to comply with these standards – even if you do not intend to monetize your Page.

Solution: Review the Monetization Eligibility Standards carefully to ensure compliance, and make any necessary changes. Submit a Monetization eligibility appeal via the following form: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/151371415454526

Facebook did not send the prior notification to the publishers and the notifications will be arrived lately by Facebook team.

Many people blamed Facebook’s of the action, though Facebook will be changed its decision.
